It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream (C’mon it Cosmetics with the long name!) contains .406 fl. oz/1.08 f. oz. and retails for $15/$38.  This CC cream is available in five shades ranging from “Fair” to “Rich”. You can find It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC at online retailers an it Cosmetics retailers nationwide. This CC cream receives a TON of hype online so of course I wanted to give this perennial beauty fave a whirl to see if the accolades were earned or not.

I have to say that the  it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is a hit AND a miss in my book. I’ll start with the hits! This CC cream goes on beautifully, wears flawlessly on its own, is lightweight, doesn’t settle into pores and mimics the look of skin. It does a FABULOUS job at blurring pores/fine lines and leaves a beautiful dewy finish. The coverage on its own is light to light medium and not really buildable.  It wears for a good four to six hours on my skin alone but over primer and set with powder its the beast of the CC cream world: all day wear! I’ll have some minor splotchiness on the oiler parts of my skin at hour eight but otherwise  it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream wears beautifully! This is a great alternative to wearing liquid foundation if your looking for light to medium coverage and SPF. Dewy skin is hot for Spring 2015 and the  it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is a great way to get the same results in one product versus using several different products.

It’s not all rainbows and unicorns with the  it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. My major gripe is not with the product itself but the ridiculous marketing claims. The packaging and the it Cosmetics website make some really amazing claims that their product just cannot possibly live up to.  First, the it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is touted to be your All In One product. I’ve even heard their rep on QVC claim: It’s all you’ll ever need. Que sideye… Really girl? After ten days of daily use I did not see softer, smoother skin, a reduction in wrinkles or smaller pores like their packaging claims. Last I checked there was no permanent way to minimize your pores.

Wearing it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream in Light and spot concealer for my under eye area and chin. Taken with my IPhone  6.

it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is supposed to cover “everything”. I still found myself using concealer under my eyes and on a laser surgery scar (which is barely noticeable on its own) because I wasn’t getting the coverage that I needed. Multiple layers of this CC cream just does not cut it.  It Cosmetics also claims you’ll see a 179% increase in hydration IMMEDIATELY. I STILL had dry patchy skin in certain areas even when I didn’t set  it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream with powder. I dislike when a good product is slapped with a ton of obviously false “clinically proven results’ and unfortunately the  it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream suffers from not meeting up to it’s own marketing hype.

Is it fabulousness in a tube? Yes, but is it the end all be all that it Cosmetics claims? Nope! I say ignore the insane claims on the packaging. You will absolutely need to use the it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream with your other daily skin products. This is a PHENOMENAL product when used in conjunction with your daily lotions, potions and serums. Have you tried the it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream? 1. I use this with IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness. It’s a perfect combo for my skin but I have never thought to hold it up to any of those claims – agreed that they’re lofty ambitions!!

  2. The color looks really nice! I think it will work well for my yellowish neutral complexion

  3. This product looks nice but I agree, these product claims are often too much.

  4. I WISH it would take my pores away!!

  5. Hmmm too bad! It looks nice, tho.

  6. I love this stuff. As a lightweight, easy foundation type product, it’s tops. I don’t, however expect it to live up to all of the insane claims. I just enjoy it for the job it does and leave it at that.

  7. I have yet to try this one! It looks great on you though.

  8. I think it’s a great product but it has such a limited shade range – no darker shades at all and not a pale enough one for me. If you fit the shade range though, this is a GREAT foundation. It looks great on you!

  9. I like it ok, but the shades are too limited

  10. Ugh dangit, now I really want to try this!! I like light-medium coverage face products, and it sounds like it wears beautifully. Okay, I need to go buy it… :)

  11. I love this CC cream too, but those claims are just too much. There’s no way it could live up to the claims, but I’ll still use it cause it’s a great CC cream! Great review!
    xx

  12. I got this CC in my Allure Box and wasn’t a fan, it felt very dry on my skin and you know I love dewy more than matte (plus I have dry skin to begin with).

  13. Absolutely love this stuff!

  14. Claims, shmaims lol. I’ll try it based on your second paragraph :) It sounds amazing.

  15. This stuff is seriously awesome!

  16. Thanks so much for the honest and well rounded review! I just purchased a new BB creme but I was so on the fence between a BB and a CC…perhaps I’ll give this a try next time and mix it with some of my other products!

  17. I do side eyes too when claims are over the top exag. I haven’t tried this yet. Great straightforward review!

  18. This is a great review! Very thorough :)

  19. thank you so much for your review. I have yet to try an itCosmetics product. I’ll probably have to pass on this product only because I have severely oily skin and I love full coverage. It looks beautiful on you though… xx

  20. Great review! Too bad about the claims though I completely agree.

  21. I have this and totally agree with your review!

  22. It’s a bummer that it doesn’t live up to the claims, BUT it does sound like a fabulous CC cream!

  23. Ugh, those pretentious claims companies make should really really stop – it makes it so easy to be dissappointed! Glad you still liked it though :).

  24. I liked this CC Cream, but I agree – all the claims are way too much.

  25. Albertine says:

Sounds like a great CC cream, I also hate when companies make ridiculous claims, like 24 hour foundation….not a chance, who even wears their foundation that long anyway?!

  26. I’ve been tempted to try IT cosmetics but this one doesn’t sound good =(

  27. What a thorough review! Agreed that outlandish claims always turn me off, but glad you like the product anyway!

  28. This is my favorite CC Cream and I’ve turned my sister into a lover of it too. I never believe the claims, I just go by my personal performance. They pay marketing people to convince us but only we can decide. I like the way it looks on your skin.

  29. Haha, I agree on being annoyed by the false claims. Anything that promises to shrink my pores or repair my split ends makes me sigh. Companies need to realize we’re becoming more educated consumers & we *know* those kinds of things are just a part of life & not fixable! Great review. :)
